This book, published by the Ministry of Defense as part of the “Broadcast University” Series in 1996 discusses the distinction between religion and magical forces. It deals with the Rambam’s unique approach, and surveys a vast array of sources on complex issues such as: blessings by Rabbis and Teachers, the obligation of trusting solely in G-D, and issues such as reincarnation, dibbuk, addressing the dead and practical kabbalah. The book was widely received and contains a wide variety of sources on the one hand, and presents the issues clearly and concisely, in a coherent and fascinating manner, on the other.
